The Speck ToughSkin is a rubber case which fits over Palm Treo devices. The case comes in black or clear and includes a swivel holster. The ToughSkin provides a good amount of protection to a Treo, but does increase the size substantially. A clear built-in screen cover is included, which flips up for the times a stylus needs to be used. There are several rubber extrusions on each side of the case for a good grasp. While most of the unit is protected, the keys are exposed for use and the menu and function keys are protected by the rubber case. To access the memory card, the Treo needs to be removed from the case. Likewise, in order to use a plug-in headset or charger, the Treo cannot be in its holster. During testing, one of the holsters failed the long-term durability test. For budget minded consumers, the Speck ToughSkin is a good value as the cost is about $25.00
