Use AOL Instant Messenger to Send Texts to Your Phone

(In the event you do not have an AIM account, go to www.aol.com and subscribe.)

Open AIM
Click Edit
Click Settings
Click Mobile
Click “Register Mobile Device”
Type in your mobile phone number and click Send.
Look at your phone for the confirmation number
Enter the confirmation number and click Confirm

Enable the Turn IM Forwarding On button and choose who you would like to receive mobile messages from.

When leaving your computer, keep AIM on and change your status to Mobile.
